2025 in Review: Our First Season of Gratitude

Take a heartfelt look behind the scenes of The Welcome Table ATX's first season. Founder Jessica McGee shares the brand’s origin, local partnerships, first client moments, and the vision for 2026 in this story of gratitude and growth.

From Dream to Doorstep

When I first dreamed up The Welcome Table ATX, I was standing in my kitchen, arranging figs and brie on a reclaimed wood board, trying to make a Tuesday night feel like something more. I didn’t know it would turn into a business. I just knew that how we welcome others matters and that food, beauty, and care have a way of saying what words sometimes can’t.

In Fall 2025, that quiet vision became something real. And now, looking back on our very first season in business, all I can feel is gratitude.

A Season of Firsts

This autumn was full of firsts:

  • Our very first Twilight Table delivery dropped off at golden hour for a broker open that made jaws drop.

  • Our first Closing Table Gifting moment, complete with a handwritten card and floral bundle tucked gently beside the board.

  • Our first client referral (thank you for spreading the word!).

  • And the first time someone told me, “This feels like love on a table.”

That one sentence reminded me why I started.

Behind the Boards: What You Didn’t See

You didn’t see the late nights tying floral bundles by hand.
Or the quiet panic the first time a board wobbled in the car.
You didn’t see me practicing how to say, “This is a premium hospitality service,” without shrinking.

But you know what else you didn’t see?
The moment I realized: this is working.

When a stranger booked because of a single Instagram photo.
When someone left a broker open saying, “That table made the whole house feel different.”

That’s the magic of hospitality—it echoes.

Built in Austin. Rooted in Care.

Our ingredients are local. Our florals are grown in Texas soil. And our boards? They carry the weight of intention. Every layout, every ribbon, every fig, it’s all chosen with care. That’s what makes The Welcome Table more than a grazing service. It’s a brand born from love, detail, and the belief that presence is everything.

Looking Ahead: 2026 and Beyond

As we head into the new year, the vision is clear:

  • Serve more realtors who want to make lasting impressions.

  • Collaborate with even more local artisans and farms.

  • Introduce workshops and seasonal pop-ups.

  • Keep showing up with quiet elegance, over and over again.

And most of all?
Keep the why at the center: To make people feel welcome.

To You, With Thanks

If you followed us, referred us, cheered us on, or simply took the time to read this—thank you. This brand started at my table, but it lives because of yours.

Here’s to more beauty, more boards, and more unforgettable welcomes in 2026.

With gratitude,

Jessica McGee
